Are you ready for Mother’s Day? Ruby Eats has everything you need for brunch with Mom: Ruby’s Pancake Mixes (Apple Jack, Chocolate Buttermilk or Cranberry), Fruit & Nut Breakfast Honey, Ruby’s Granola, Jams and Marmalade. We also have Clipper Tea and three blends of Mountain View coffee beans. This weekend we’ll be featuring delicious croissants and mini banana bread from Le Matin. With less pancake and pastry prep, you’ll have more time to enjoy a coffee with Mom.
If you’re out shopping this weekend, don’t forget to take a break and check out our daily lunch menu. Along with our sandwiches, salads and soup, we’re also serving breakfast sandwiches made with Ruby’s Famous Biscuits.
Vanilla Rice Pudding is back; swing by the shop and get it while it lasts! We also have some fantastic new Greenbelt Greenhouse Organic Greens. New mixes include the Kale Microgreens and Ruby Streaks Mustard, plus the Sweet & Crunchy Blend and the Spring Pea Mix that we’ve carried before.
You can now find daily updates on what’s new in the shop by liking Ruby Eats on Facebook. If you’re looking to grab a fresh pack of Chocolate Macaroons or the Chicken Liver Parfait before anyone else, this is the best way to stay on the pulse.
We are now carrying SupiCucu Diablo’s Fuego Hot Sauce. Chef Lynn sent over a case of this mega-tasty sauce just before the long weekend, so we could get it on the shelves right away. If you check out the buzz on twitter, you’ll find that this is the go-to hot sauce for breakfast burritos, tourtiere, soup and more!
This Easter weekend, Ruby Eats will be closed on the following days:
Friday, April 6
Saturday, April 7
Sunday, April 8
We will also be closed on Monday, April 9 as per our usual hours. Stop in early this week to check out our Vosges Easter chocolate, and enjoy the weekend!
We currently have some fantastic Vosges Chocolate in the shop, perfect for any extra-special Easter basket. You’ll find Alice’s Wondrous Rabbit Lollipops in Banana Toffee and Dark Chocolate Crunch, (a photo of the chocolate unwrapped can be found here), as well as sweet and salty Bacon Caramel Toffee.
Pickles are back! Check out the new batch of Spicy Mustard Bread & Butter Pickles, a twist on the classic Bread & Butter Pickles that were available last summer.
We’re getting into the spirit of Spring here at Ruby Eats, with new items popping up every day. Our shelves are stocked with new books and housewares, including tools for pasta-making and great recipe books like the bestselling Quinoa 365, (did I mention that we have quinoa galore?) We have a new bar section with bitters, simple syrups and bar tools, as well as a BBQ section with spice rubs and wood chip smokers. New Ruby Eats offerings include apple pear butter, lentils and chickpeas, forbidden rice, and antipasto. Skip those long brunch line-ups and check out our new weekend breakfast sandwiches, served on Ruby’s Famous Biscuits. Delicious croissants and olive fougasse from Brick Street Bakery are also here on weekends for those who want to grab something quick with their morning coffee.
